Metal Recycling

We are pleased to offer the curbside collection of oversized waste to residents of St. John’s.

Before booking an appointment, please go through your intended waste items to determine if they are suitable to be used by someone else. There are many organizations that reuse all kinds of items from furniture to children’s toys to lawn mowers, and more. Use ‘Put Waste In Its Place’ lookup to learn the many options for reuse for your items.

Before you book an appointment be sure what you have is considered oversized waste:

  • maximum size of 1.5m x 1.5m x 2.15m (5ft x 5ft x 7ft)
  • weighs less than 68 kgs (150 lbs)
  • does not fit inside the bins to be issued for automated waste collection
